The contributions of
John Sebastian have become a permanent part of our American musical
fabric. As lead voice of The Lovin' Spoonful, he is indelibly associated
with songs such as "Do You Believe in Magic," "Summer In The City," and
"Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind." Sebastian's theme "Welcome
Back" for the tv show Welcome Back Kotter was a
chart-topping solo. In 2000, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame. A PBS Special, Do You Believe in Magic: The Music of John
Sebastian immortalizes his career.
